Up stream all the way

I have been known, upon occasion, to write poetry and lyrics. I never plan the subject, or plot the story, for the most part I rely upon stream of consciousness. That being the process in which you write whatever comes to mind at the moment of writing. I find it a comforting release to just scribble away at a piece of paper, and when finished step back and try to figure out what the hell I just wrote. Luckily for me I've always been able to discern a meaning out of whatever I've written. Hopefully that will hold true for these ramblings you're reading.

Randomness is the cornerstone of reality. There is a reason for everything that happens, and that reason is incomprehensible to the human mind. There is no coincidences other than the fact that sometimes things just happen. This paragraph is complementary and contradictory unto itself simultaneously. I would apologize for this if I was sorry.

I like knock knock jokes. I know it's a bit silly, but I truly like them. And I have a favorite. Would you like to hear it? Sorry, I don't have any audio files for you.

Ok, here we go;

You say "knock, knock"

Go on, say it.

Ok, then I say "who's there?"

Well?

I know, I know, but it's the small pleasures in life that are the best.

Alright, I was almost gone, but one more thing. Did you know that knock wasn't in the spellcheckers database? How very odd.

So it begins

So now I begin my journey into placing my scattered thoughts onto the web, so they can be scattered across the glorious realm of cyberspace. The most striking thing to me about the internet is that it has no physical substance. Sure there are servers and wires and interfaces across the world, but nothing is actually there to be held, or felt. For instance, Egyptian hieroglyphics are incomprehensible to me, but I could touch them, and interact with them in a way that is impossible with the internet if I were to open my computer and try to understand all the wires and circuitry inside.

Be that as it may, I'm suddenly struck by the thought that cars are the bane of my existence. They are plotting to ruin my life in various ways. It's not enough that I have to pay for gas, insurance, and licensing, but then headlights stop working which have to be fixed if I ever want to drive thru downtown with out being pulled over by the police. And to top it off, every car on the road wants to hit me. I can see it in their blindingly bright eyes.

This first random ramble comes to a close, as I have other things that are intruding into my life that must be taken care of. 'Til the next.
