The loss of a day

Well, today was a complete loss of a day. I'm sick. No, not in the head. (well, maybe, but that's not the point) I have a raw throat, swollen glands, bad cough, and occasional dizzyness. Fun and joy for me. So today I slept late, eccept i didn't sleep much, because my head ached. I watched a lot of TV without acctually watching anything that was on the screen. And that's about the sum and total of my day. A complete and absolute waste of a day.

Why is it when we can't do anything it's a waste of a day, but if we chose to do nothing it's a relaxing day? Curious ain't it? It probably ties in to the dicotamy of our existance. The cheesiest representation of which is the old "is the glass half full, or half empty" thingy. Everything you see is colored by your perspective, and experience. It's hard to pull oneself out of the comfort of our established beliefs and understandings. The exact same thing can be construed in two (or more) totaly different ways, depending on the point of view you bring to it at that moment. Which leads me to conclude (while trying to avoid any conclusions) that any other day like today, but not today, would have been a nice day off of work. But today, bringing the ills that it did, is and remains an utterly useless and pointless passage of time for me.

Here's to wishing your day was better than mine. An easy accomplishment, but my wish none the less.

A day like any other day...

... in as much as every day is different, it was a day like any other day.

So, a sideways take on the old tree falling in the forest thing;

If a Blog goes unwritten will anyone read it? Apparently, Yes.

Now you may ask yourself "Where has he been?"

Go on, ask.

What did yourself answer?

The truth of the matter is simple, yet incomprehensible for those who can't read. So out of respect for those people, I'm not gonna tell the rest of you a thing about why I haven't written here. Not one single solitary sylable.

On to other things;

Have you looked outside lately? You should. Go, right now and look outside! I'll wait.

It was worth the time you took, even if you don't believe me.

Now back to your regularly schedualed absence of random ramblings
